The Superior Court of Justice of Asturias (TSJA) has forwarded the request of VOX Asturias to investigate the real numbers of deaths from coronavirus in the region to the Ministry of Justice. The high court of the Principality thus responds to the request of the Parliamentary Group, transferred on April 13, requesting the president to urge the Civil Registers of the Principality to prepare a report on the number of deaths, as well as the causes of death since the month of February, and until the end of the pandemic, in the region.
VOX Asturias appreciates the response of the TSJA, but points out that "the ideal would have been for the Asturian court to initiate the investigation in accordance with its inspector competence" as did, for example, the president of the Superior Court of Justice of Castilla y León ( TSJCyL) that this Monday ordered Civil Registry officials to quantify all deaths from coronavirus, including those suspected of being due to the pandemic. "VOX will not stop until we know the real number of deaths due to coronaviruses that the central government wants to hide," they explain from the party.
In the official letter transferred on April 13 by VOX, it also requested the maximum person in charge of the TSJA to order that, henceforth, it be ensured that the most accurate identification of the cause of death is made in all those cases in those that appear pathological processes or causes that can be considered compatible or suspicious with the coronavirus in the Principality. «From VOX Asturias we consider that not only a duty of justice with the Spanish people, but a necessary tool to be able to fight the pandemic and effectively prevent future outbreaks, that the public authorities make the figure known to all society with absolute transparency real of people who have died from COVID-19 ”.
