The removal of the concertinas from the Ceuta fence with Morocco and its replacement by rotating steel tubes, in the form of inverted combs, is now a reality. The placement of these new instruments began last June, the objective of which is to reinforce the security of the border perimeter and end the blades that crowned the fence, which will now reach ten meters in height. However, the Interior has not provided information on the contracts for the award of the concertina removal work, and has done so alleging security reasons.

Given what VOX understands as a lack of transparency, the national deputy of training for Ceuta, Teresa López, has registered a request for information in which she requires the State to provide her with a copy of the report on the procedure of the withdrawal work. of the concertinas in the fences of Ceuta and Melilla, as well as their replacement by inverted combs. In addition, the Ceuta parliamentary requires the dossier for the award of these works and the economic and qualitative criteria applied to it, as well as the amounts, materials and actions carried out.

López also requests to know the expected end date of this intervention in the fencing. In addition, it requires information on the number of civil guards integrated into the work forces of the removal of the concertinas and their replacement by tubes, as well as the personal and material means of the State Security Forces and Corps used in these tasks.

On the other hand, the national deputy of VOX for Ceuta asks the Executive of Pedro Sánchez if he will carry out more works in the future on the border fences with Morocco. In the event that this is the case, López questions whether it will be works to modify the structures or "works that facilitate the passage of immigrants."

"How many attempts to access the national territory have there been during the substitution works? In addition, López asks if the works are adjusting to the initially planned budget and if the Executive has reached an agreement with a parliamentary group on the border fences of Ceuta and Melilla in the face of the security strategy to be followed in both.
