VOX, through the Asturian deputy José María Figaredo, has presented in the Congress of Deputies some parliamentary questions addressed to the Government regarding the forecasts that the Executive of Pedro Sánchez manages about the impact on the industry of the crisis derived from the COVID-19 .

José María Figaredo considers that “there is a real risk of dissolution in the short term of the industrial sector” and explains that “Spain as a whole and Asturias, due to its special relationship with industry, faces a serious crisis caused by three factors: the consequences of COVID-19, the state of alarm and the unfavorable situation that the Spanish industrial fabric is going through ”.

"The first sample of the very serious effects that this crisis may have is already being experienced in employment," says Figaredo, who adds that "there is a real risk of dissolution in the short term of the industrial sector. That dissolution would be for Spain, and also for Asturias, an absolutely strategic problem ”.

José María Figaredo assures that, if the appropriate measures are not adopted, “the reconstruction of the industrial sector will take years to achieve, although not all the industrial fabric will be affected in the same way, and it is necessary to know the consequences that the Government has foreseen. it has foreseen in the short and medium term, and based on them, some preventive, compensatory or other measures must be adopted ”.
