Juan Carlos Sanz, spokesman for the Municipal Group Vox El Puerto, congratulates the mayor Germán Beardo, for the speed with which they have enabled these spaces: “we are very happy, since since yesterday the beaches of Valdelagrana, La Puntilla, Santa Catalina and Fuentebravía have runners to practice swimming in the open sea ”.
This motion was unanimously approved by all political parties. In the plenary session on January 15, both the Councilor for Medio Amiente, Millán Alegre, and the President of the Commonwealth of the Bay of Cádiz, David de la Encina, pledged to expedite the procedures to try to make this proposal a reality this same summer.
After the meeting held by the municipal group with the Portuense Swimming Club, it became evident that there are many athletes from Puerto Rico who practice triathlon and swimming in the open sea, hence the need to create a space reserved for this sport.
Given the unbeatable conditions that our bay offers, Vox el Puerto intended with this motion to increase the presence of these swimmers from all over the province and to equalize our city to other coastal towns that already had such conditioning.
