The VOX Municipal Group in the Granada City Council has shown its concern about the possible departure of important private art collections, such as the one exhibited in the Casa Ajsaris, whose owners value transferring their 700 works to another city given the null support of the administrations grenadines.
Mónica Rodríguez Gallego, councilor of VOX, has criticized that “the government team does not offer the owners of the Casa Ajsaris a property in accordance with the needs of this collection and thus avoid their departure from Granada, since it would mean the loss of a group of works of great artistic and patrimonial value ».
From VOX they reproach the municipal government for its “lack of judgment and absolute ignorance of the cultural reality of Granada, as well as its contempt for the patrons of our city, as has also happened with the works of Juan Manuel Brazam, whose legacy has not been exposed either. for the enjoyment of the people of Granada despite the agreement with the artist being closed since 2019, a question about which we asked in plenary session last February and that, given the passivity of PP and Citizens, we have once again registered a request for information".
In turn, Mónica Rodríguez Gallego has requested «to know the activities and exhibitions planned at the Lorca Cultural Center and the spaces intended to host events or exhibitions of a cultural nature, as well as a report on the situation of all the municipal spaces and buildings that may to house the aforementioned art collections, so that the ideal locations for their exhibition can be studied by the Granada City Council ”.
