The VOX senator for Murcia, José Manuel Marín, today showed the support of the training for the use of online health technology because "it can improve the quality of care, facilitate and make more secure patients' access to treatment and their personal medical data, reduce the risk of medical errors and contribute to the early detection of health problems." "It can also facilitate the continuity of medical care within and outside the national borders," he pointed out.

However, it regretted that, despite the opportunities and advantages that e-health offers, there are still major obstacles preventing further implementation. Thus, he cited the “lack of knowledge and trust in e-health solutions among patients, citizens and health professionals; the lack of interoperability between eHealth solutions; and the paucity of large-scale evidence of the cost effectiveness of eHealth tools and services. '

On the other hand, it has also criticized the “lack of legal clarity regarding mobile applications for health and well-being and a lack of transparency in the use of the data collected by such applications; the absence of inadequate or fragmented legal frameworks, including the lack of reimbursement systems for e-health services; and the high initial costs of the implementation of eHealth systems ”.

The senator also referred to the differences that exist between regions in access to ICT services and limited access in less favored areas.
