From VOX Granada we want to convey our condolences to all the families of the province who have suffered the pain of the loss of a loved one as a result of COVID-19: our prayers are with them in mind, our encouragement is with them and with those affected by the pandemic, and our concern and occupation is with those who are being collaterally affected by the ongoing management of the spread of the Wuhan virus.

Due to the special geographical characteristics of our Province, which lead it to border the province of Malaga on the coast until it borders that of Albacete and the Region of Murcia in the north, the impact of our Province has been very uneven: thus, from the four health districts into which it is divided, while Granada capital and the Metropolitan Area have been hit hard with rates of 526.86 and 314 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively, in the health districts of Granada Sur (regions of the Costa Tropical and Alpujarra) and Granada Nordeste (regions of Guadix, Baza and Huéscar) the incidence has been notably lower and the evolution more favorable, with rates of 118.25 and 167.27 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants respectively, reaching the hopeful rate news that, in the Granada Sur health district, the record made public last Friday May 8 was zero deaths and zero infection. It is for this reason that, pending a prompt favorable evolution of virus containment in Granada and the Metropolitan Area, common sense dictated that at least the South and Northeast health districts could go from phase 0 to phase 1 , within the progression for deconfusion
established by the Government of the nation.

However, the social communist government of Pedro Sánchez and Pablo Iglesias, has once again manifested its sectarianism and its contempt for Granada and Andalusia by deciding to keep the entire Province paralyzed in phase 0 without exception. The insensitivity and ignorance of the Province by the socialist and communist leaders leads them to keep stagnant in the strictest of confinements and without distinction to municipalities in Granada that are separated by more than 200 kilometers from each other, a sensitivity and flexibility that it has shown with Catalonia allowing discerning areas lower than the Province.

The Government of the nation is not to blame for the COVID-19, but it is for the management that is made of it, being inadmissible that a political issue is made of the disgrace of the disease, and it is that, apparently, the Social Communist Government favors those regions governed by their separatist partners, and punishes those in which VOX arrived to kick them out of the Government, such as the Junta de Andalucía.

From VOX Granada we want to state that we are neither self-conscious nor concerned about the contempt that socialists and communists may feel for our party, but it is inadmissible that their sectarianism is paid by two-thirds of our province who could partially return to social life and that they could return to their jobs to avoid the destruction of the economy to which the current Government of Spain leads us, as the main business associations of the Province are demanding, especially when similar situations have been allowed where separatist parties govern, And all this without the national, autonomous and provincial representatives of PSOE and United Podemos expressing any opposition.

For this reason, we urge the Government of the nation to rectify and allow the transition of the health districts of Granada Sur and Granada Nordeste to phase 1, and we urge that the deputies in the Congress of PSOE and Unidas Podemos; to the Delegate of the Government in Andalusia, Sandra García; to the subdelegate of the Government in Granada, Inmaculada López; and the president of the PSOE in Granada and president of the Provincial Deputation, José Entrena, demonstrate in support of this proposal to avoid the destruction of the economy and to advance in the progressive return to normality of always taking the appropriate measures for the situation. exceptional that we live, since the work and effort of the Spanish will depend on how we can rise again from the hard blow of this pandemic.
