Sanlúcar de Barrameda, October 22, 2020. The VOX coordinator in Sanlúcar has denounced that Sanluqueños are having to endure long waits to agree to request an appointment in primary care in the public health centers of the town.

“In recent times we are seeing how face-to-face healthcare is being reduced considerably especially in this town and every day, from early in the morning in the vicinity of the different outpatient clinics, large queues can be perceived to get a number for the consultations for family medicine, pediatrics, nursing, etc.

Infants regrets the lack of interest on the part of the local government in solving this delicate problem, and urges the government team to demand that the Ministry of Health take forceful measures in this situation.

We understand that the pandemic has exceeded primary care, and that we are in exceptional circumstances, but the problem is not from now, we have been suffering all year, and day after day, we see through the different social networks how the citizens of Sanlúcar they complain about the inability to find a medical appointment. In recent times, many mothers lament the scarce pediatric care that is being developed in our town.

Several hours of waiting to find a number that sometimes never comes. From Vox we appeal to sanity since there are many older people who need this medical attention and before this arrives – which in many cases does not arrive – they spend several hours in a queue exposed to the inclement weather of recent days with the risk that this entails, lamented the VOX coordinator in the town.

To conclude, Infantes has committed to transferring this serious situation to our representatives in the Andalusian Parliament the complicated situation that Sanluqueños experience to access public health, so that they urge all the competent bodies to improve this situation in a way immediate.
