The spokesperson for the Municipal VOX Group in the Guadalajara City Council, Antonio de Miguel, has shown its dissatisfaction and that of its training with the approval of the new positions of general directors in the areas of Sports and Culture "when there are already two councilors to perform these functions", as Antonio de Miguel has considered in the ordinary plenary session this Friday, while he has shown his satisfaction that the motion presented by the VOX Group for the defense of Spanish as a vehicular language in schools has gone ahead with the votes of all the councilors of the Popular Group and also of Citizens, the latter members of the municipal government with the Socialist Party in the Guadalajara City Council.

During his intervention in the telematic plenary session, De Miguel pointed out that "VOX will continue to insist on reducing political spending and waste." Therefore, the VOX mayor maintains that in the specific case of the approval of the positions of general directors of Sports and Culture for the City Council of Guadalajara "there is duplication of functions and overlaps", and has detailed that "the objective of eliminating the Sports and Culture boards and integrating them in the City Council was to save and make a more effective management", for which he has asked the mayor, the socialist Alberto Rojo, to “Don't fall into contradiction by naming and maintaining more chairs. We reiterate that it seems to us a completely unnecessary expense. 55,000 euros a year for each CEO, which means 110,000 euros a year for two unnecessary positions ”, has specified De Miguel.

The VOX spokesperson has qualified this fact “As unworthy, immoral and an insult to the residents of Guadalajara. While the people of Guatemala are going through economic difficulties derived from the crisis due to the coronavirus, the Government team of the PSOE and Ciudadanos is going to spend 110,000 euros a year out of the pocket of the residents of Guadalajara to pay the salaries of two high political positions of the PSOE, two appointments, which, as we said at the time, are pregnant with ideology and socialist interests, names and members on the socialist lists in the last elections”, De Miguel has denounced.

The Parental Pin is necessary

In addition, Antonio de Miguel, has been pleased that the motion drawn up within the VOX Municipal Group on the defense of Spanish as a vehicular language in schools was approved thanks to the favorable votes of PP and Ciudadanos.

In the motion, the VOX Group requested that the Guadalajara City Council, on the one hand, urge the Government of the Nation to withdraw the LOMLOE or modify the additional provision on Spanish Language, so that it is recognized as a vehicular language of education throughout the Spanish territory, and on the other, that the Guadalajara City Council requires the Government of the Nation that this new Education Law contemplate the reasonable proportion of Spanish as a vehicular language with a minimum figure, applicable, at least, to be elected by parents so that their children can study in their mother tongue, when it comes to Spanish, for which all core subjects must be included, which in the educational system reach around 60 percent of the weekly schedule.

During his presentation, the VOX spokesperson expressed his belief that "The absolute need for the Parental Pin in times of loss of freedom in the classrooms and in the future with this horrendous‘ Celaá Law ’, which aims to put its claws in the classroom, in the education of our children", De Miguel has explained.

The mayor of VOX considers that “there is an evident indoctrination in the schools. Not only in gender ideology or sexual affective education, but also in environmental education, in nationalism, in historical and political events, in hatred of our language, Spanish. It is done against the will and against the moral principles of the parents. It is done through curricular content, in subjects, in educational projects, in tutorial activities, in workshops and many other activities ”.

Antonio de Miguel has detailed that “Schools are there to teach, not to indoctrinate. For this reason, the Parental Pin is more necessary than ever for parents to show agreement or disagreement in the participation of their children in all activities taught by people outside the faculty of the educational center or as a tool to protect families from proposals educational activities that are done against the will and against the moral principles of the parents ”.

Similarly, De Miguel has described the new Education Law as “An ideological, liberticidal and sectarian law that wants to make a unique school. It has been drafted unilaterally, without counting on the educational community. It goes against the weakest. It goes against the parents. It goes against religion. It goes against the schools. Asphyxiates the concerted, prohibits the differentiated and strikes the special education colleges. It goes against Spanish. It leaves the decision to use Spanish as a vehicular language to the autonomous communities and marginalizes children who want to study in Spanish. It is a law in which the ideology of the left prevails over any other educational aspect, imposes division and ideological indoctrination ".

Guadalajara residents will not have free masks

On the other hand, the second motion that VOX brought to this plenary session was not approved to ask the Guadalajara City Council to urge the Government of Castilla-La Mancha to provide protective masks against the Coronavirus "And, of course, the neediest residents of Guadalajara", as he said mayor of VOX, Javier Toquero, in defense of the motion, free of charge.

On the other hand, other proposals and statements by the socialist mayor, Alberto Rojo, related to gender violence were debated. As indicated by the VOX Group councilors during the week, the VOX spokesperson, Antonio de Miguel, recalled again in the plenary session that "the violence has no gender. There is a need for a law on domestic violence that protects everyone and allows the money to really go to those who need it. And not to those gender bars where they place the system apparatus. I reiterate VOX's commitment to end any manifestation of violence against women and against any man, child or elderly person in the family environment. Of course we condemn violence. And we also declare the need to defend any victim of violence and to condemn aggressors and murderers alike, be they men or women. VOX will always be with all those people who have been victims of violence. We will always condemn any violent attack carried out against any person regardless of their sex, age or ideology "stressed Antonio de Miguel.
