El Puerto de Santa María, October 29, 2020 – The Municipal Group of VOX in the City Council of El Puerto has met this Thursday with those responsible for the AMPA of the Infant School to address its future closure, announced by the government team in the midst of a pandemic. According to the president of the AMPA, Sarai Sánchez, “the municipal nursery does not have the requirements demanded by the Junta de Andalucía to continue providing the service, but considers that the government team has no will to solve the problem. A feasibility study to keep the nursery running, but from the City Council they allege that it is a problem of lack of budget”. The councilors of VOX have transferred their concern to them since, as El Puerto de Santa María continues without budgets, we do not know the data managed by the local government, as well as the supposed surplus that it has, but they are convinced that it would be possible to modify the adjustment plan to include a departure for Nursery School. “The municipal nursery has been operating for more than 30 years and has a team of professionals highly valued by its users. There is no other municipal kindergarten, in the city center there are only two, and it is a social service that our city cannot do without”, They allege from VOX El Puerto. From the AMPA they assure that the mayor does not want to receive them, and that in Social Welfare they show a lot of will, but then “they don't want to move a finger, since the easiest solution would be to close ”. Finally, they recall that in the government pact signed by PP and Ciudadanos, in point number 3 they agreed to seek solutions to maintain the service of the Municipal Infant School, point that has been forgotten.
