Vox elected officials in Ceuta will donate part of their monthly allocation for the month of March to Cáritas Diocesana to contribute to help those most affected by the Covid-19 crisis in the city. With this gesture, we wanted to respond to the request for help that Cáritas Diocesana de Cádiz and Ceuta launched a few weeks ago, to prepare to be in the best possible conditions to offer and provide the help that families may need in the coming months.
To this end, a campaign to collect donations has been launched, the objective of which is to reach the necessary fund with which to be able to attend to these basic necessities that will be necessary in the immediate future. The president of Vox Ceuta, Juan Sergio Redondo, has already contacted the director of Cáritas Diocesana in the city, Manuel Gestal, to convey to him the intention of the Vox parliamentarians to make a contribution with which to help families most affected by Covid-19 in the city.
"The parish charities are going to need it", they already transferred at the beginning of this crisis from the diocesan entity, also stressing that the closing of churches or the considerable reduction of people attending the masses is "a serious blow to the financing of Caritas, which has among its great items of income the collections of the Eucharist, especially those of the first weekend of each month. "And we have to be prepared for what is coming upon us," they warned, pointing out the effects that the epidemic is already having on employment regulation records.
