Seville, May 12, 2020. The Municipal Group VOX in the Seville City Council has registered this Tuesday a proposal for an agreement to be studied in the non-permanent commission for the social and economic revival of Seville, on the application of measures to promote confidence and consumption in the Seville hospitality and retail trade.

In the course of a meeting held with the Downtown Merchants Association convened by the Municipal Group VOX, its spokesperson, Cristina Peláez has promised before the president of the group, Antonio Perez, to raise in the commission this Wednesday "the implementation of measures that can favor the maintenance of the commercial and hotel economic activities of this city due to its weight in the economy of our city as well as in the development and maintenance of employment ”.

"We consider that our City Council must attend the health security needs that are arising during the recovery process of the different activities that have been affected by the decree of the State of Alarm, since many business owners show us their concern about the conditions in which it has to face the reopening of its establishments. One of those concerns is health of its consumers, that, when it comes to consuming in them, the situation of the health crisis, makes these consumers grow a distrust, relative to suffering possible contagions derived from the pandemic situation of COVID19 ”.

The municipal spokesperson for VOX has asserted, in this regard, that "our objective with this proposal is reduce the risk of contagion as much as possible and, therefore, promote that the people of Seville return to their consumption habits, thus recovering a certain normality in the development of the aforementioned business activities ”.

“From the associations of merchants and hoteliers, to whom we thank for their spirit of collaboration with the public powers to provide solutions to all the problems generated by this crisis, we have been presented with some ideas that we value positivelywhich are common sense and that We will defend in the bodies where these proposals must be defended ”.

In this sense, Cristina Peláez has pointed out the need for the Seville City Council to “implement a Safe Environment Certificate that it can be obtained by the establishments that apply the security measures and recommendations raised by the Ministry of Health against Covid19, in a way and manner that informs potential clients that said measures are being complied with, promoting consumption within these establishments ”.

"In our opinion, it is necessary for the local administration to plan some fumigation and sanitation protocols in areas with the highest concentration of commercial and restaurant premises, understanding that in these areas, disinfection obligations are especially necessary. Likewise, we request that the residents of Seville be informed of these cleaning and disinfection actions, with the aim of convey confidence to the population".

Among the proposals that VOX will present this Wednesday in the commission for the social and economic reactivation of Seville, it is contemplated that a specific security plan for the effective application of the security measures in force in each of the phases of de-escalation, with the aim of avoid crowds and defaults.

Peláez, in this regard, has shown "all our support to the different entities representing businessmen, merchants and hoteliers deeply concerned, logically, by the situations that occurred in the first days of entering phase 2," he concluded. .
