The Municipal VOX Group has recalled that the public recognition of the local police officers who remained on duty throughout the state of alarm due to the coronavirus pandemic is still pending, a tribute to which the government team pledged in the Plenary of the Granada City Council and with which the gratitude of the city would be shown to the agents who ensure our safety.

Beatriz Sánchez Agustino, councilor of VOX, has alluded today to this recognition that she took as a request to the plenary session in May: “On the agenda of the Plenary session this month we will approve the deserved award of decorations and congratulations to the Local Police, and It is our obligation to remember that the government team undertook to publicly acknowledge the work of the agents, as well as that of the Firefighters, members of Civil Protection and Social Services personnel who were at the service of the people of Granada throughout the state of alarm » .

«During the entire confinement, many officials and professionals of the Granada City Council carried out their work without sufficient means of protection, exposing themselves to the virus and a probable contagion, putting the interests of the people of Granada before their own to help those who need it most and stop, as far as possible, the advance of Covid-19, "the VOX councilor insisted.

In turn, Beatriz Sánchez Agustino recalled that the petition presented in May specified that “the political groups of this City Council must recognize the self-denial shown by each and every one of the people who have been in the front line of battle against this pandemic during the health, social and economic crisis that is causing critical moments for our society and our country ”, and specifically to thank the Local Police, Firefighters, members of Civil Protection and Social Services personnel who have been on duty since the beginning of the state of alarm.
