Silvia Enríquez, spokesperson for the Municipal VOX Group in the Santa Fe City Council, has expressed her disappointment when verifying that the municipality is on the sidelines of the new lines that will expand the Granada metro, an infrastructure dependent on the Ministry of Development of the Junta de Andalucía.

The councilor recalled that in the month of January a statement was approved in the Plenary of the Santaferino Consistory with the support of all groups in which the Junta de Andalucía was urged to comply with the POTAUG, where the first extension is established line that would connect the airport with the capital. In this same statement, the City Council promised to put pressure on the institutions involved to prevent Santa Fe from being left out of the expansions.

The VOX spokeswoman in Santa Fe assures that she is unaware of the steps that the government team may have taken on this matter, but they have not yielded any results, she denounced. "It is unfortunate that Santa Fe is lagging behind in such an important infrastructure," Enríquez said.

From VOX they have recalled that linking the airport with the capital is absolutely necessary. In addition, residents have demanded on numerous occasions that the metro reach Santa Fe. "Now they will see with frustration how they are once again marginalized in front of other municipalities."

Silvia Enríquez has not hesitated to point out the political leaders, both municipal and regional. "They will have to explain to the people of Santa Fe why their high-ranking officials appointed by hand in the Board have not been able to bring the subway to our municipality."

VOX has held responsible both the PSOE, which governs the City Council, as well as the PP and Citizens, for this offense towards the metropolitan municipality. Enríquez has concluded by demanding that the POTAUG be complied with and that Santa Fe's demands be addressed.
