The municipal group of VOX has requested, by means of a request registered last week, the public recognition by the Plenum of the Granada City Council for those Local Police, Firemen, members of Civil Protection and Social Affairs personnel who have remained on duty since the beginning of the state of alarm as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic, which serves as an express tribute from our city to the commendable work of these professionals and officials, who have ensured security, solidarity and the correct application of the law.

Beatriz Sánchez Agustino, councilor of the municipal group of VOX, explained that "as a consequence of the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the decree of state of alarm of March 14, 2020 that has demonstrated the ineffective and disastrous management of the single command , coordinated by the social-communist government – radical and far left – led by Pedro Sánchez, the municipal professionals have carried out their work without sufficient means of protection, exposing themselves to the virus and to a probable contagion, putting the interests of the people of Granada before their own to help those who need it most and slow, as far as possible, the advance of the Covid-19 ».

For this reason, Beatriz Sánchez Agustino has stated, «the political groups of this City Council must recognize the self-denial shown by each and every one of the people who have been at the forefront of the battle against this pandemic during the health, social and economic crisis that is causing critical moments for our society and our country, and from VOX «we have asked by request the recognition of the plenary session of the Granada Consistory for those Local Police, Firemen, members of Civil Protection and Social Affairs personnel who have been on duty since the beginning of the alarm state ».
