The Municipal Group of VOX has announced that it is going to launch the 'Mailbox for complaints of hate crimes' of the Granada City Council with a request, which will be presented in the registry on Monday, in which it is urged to investigate the email that the CGT union sent to all municipal workers and posted on the Union Board, calling VOX party "extreme right", "fascists and sexists."

The municipal spokesman for VOX, Onofre Miralles, recalled that “on July 30, the day before the plenary session, CGT sent the staff of the Granada City Council and political groups an email in which it charged against our formation for not supporting a motion promoted by this union and to which we requested several amendments to support it, a circumstance that CGT took advantage of to pour out serious accusations that we consider should be analyzed by the Granada Citizen Ombudsman, responsible for the mailbox and the Observatory of hate crimes.

Onofre Miralles explained that “the hate crime is regulated in article 510 of the Penal Code and punishes those people who, publicly, encourage, promote or incite directly or indirectly to hatred, hostility, discrimination or violence against a group or towards a person for belonging to this group, which could be in line with the statement issued by the CGT union.

The Social Services Area announced this week the creation of the LGBTI + Municipal Sector Council, to which VOX voted against in the July plenary session, and the launch of a telematic mailbox to report hate crimes managed by the Citizen Ombudsman, To whom we will request a meeting so that from the Granada City Council forceful measures are promoted against those who promote such extremist positions as those of the CGT.
