VOX at the Zaragoza City Council will ask the municipal government about the functions of the three vertical axis mills that are located in the Business Incubation Center of the Digital Mile.
The spokesman Julio Calvo recalls that, before the Expo, "the previous Government of Juan Alberto Belloch announced them as an energy solution to provide energy to the Zero Emissions Building." However, in the intervening years "these mills have never been in operation."
For all these reasons, Julio Calvo will ask if they know what the possibilities of starting up these mills would be. What would it take to do this and what would it cost? Also, if the cost that they originally had is known.
“One of Zaragoza's pending subjects is to use all the infrastructures that were built at the time of the Expo. Which in turn are the culprits of much of the debt that our city drags. Large-scale works were carried out and other minor ones such as the Digital Water Pavilion or the windmills of the Business Incubation Center of the Digital Mile. One of the recurring themes is the extension of renewable energies in Zaragoza. We asked about the use of these vertical axis windmills of which we do not even know if they have generators because they have never been in operation ", adds the spokesman Julio Calvo.
