Thanks to the contributions of the people, Podemos remains free to fight for a progressive government that puts social justice at the center, and not the interests of the powerful.
From this Wednesday, October 23 and until Monday, November 4, we can return the microcredits that thousands of citizens lent to finance the electoral campaigns of April 28 and May 26. In total, 2,560,000 euros contributed by more than 10,000 people. The refund is made after receiving the subsidy for electoral expenses that is awarded to each party based on the results obtained.
In Podemos we are free because we do not owe favors to the banks, that is why it is so important that our campaigns do not depend on them. Thanks to the contributions of the people, we continue working to form a government that puts social justice at the center, and not the defense of the interests of the powerful.
We want to do #UnGovernmentContigo and so #CumplimosContigo. It is no coincidence that the only formation that does not ask for credits is the one that requires the bank to return the 60,000 million euros it owes to the citizens. Who pays sends, and the banks cannot send in the parties.
To face the electoral repetition to which the PSOE has directed us, Podemos has launched a new microcredit campaign which managed to raise a million euros in the first week. Those who wish to renew their subscription will be able to do so easily and will receive the return of their contribution in the first half of 2020. Meanwhile, PP and PSOE will resort this time to the Official Credit Institute (ICO) to finance themselves, an institution that should serve to support our productive fabric and not to pay electoral campaigns.
In the face of waste, irregular financing and bank favors, Podemos has only one creditor: citizenship. Thus we have achieved, since 2015, that our campaigns are exemplary in terms of savings, participation, inclusion and diversity.
