Cádiz, October 23, 2020. Carlos Zambrano has welcomed the news that San Fernando already has a Table for Tourism, and thanks Cavada that once again a VOX proposal is welcomed by the government team.
The VOX spokesman wanted to convey to the government team his concern that this newly created body, for which there have been no representatives of the opposition political parties, does not end up being a more empty stage of content that only serves to occupy headlines and "be in the picture", as we are used to as islanders up to now.
“Cavada and Moreno thus prevent the representatives of the opposition groups from being in contact with the rest of the political forces, perhaps for fear that the citizens will see that other parties have better ideas to start the tourist industry of the city, and for this it shields this body with the technical objective, as if among the ranks of the opposition there were no experts in tourism and hospitality. Once again, the lack of transparency of the government team is visible to all, ”Zambrano lamented.
"Many citizens, including myself the first, have the feeling that San Fernando is the city with the most open projects and the largest number of unfinished plans," said Zambrano, who recalled that the deadline for the delivery of the tourism website, and we still don't know anything about it.
"This Municipal Group would like to think that this initiative is going to be serious and that it is really going to be a commitment to empower our city, but we have serious doubts," said Zambrano.
If this body comes to work seriously to turn San Fernando into an attractive city for tourism, which serves to increase hotel rooms, promote the Carmen and Salt Fair, and make our city a benchmark for practice of nautical sports, in an ideal destination for business and congress tourism, in which our heritage, our gastronomy and our history are put in value will have our full support, no doubt, Zambrano has declared.
But, we fear very much, that this body will not prosper, because once again, the government team sits before the representatives of the trade, hospitality, tourist accommodation, culture and public entities without a designed plan with which to begin work, something that is already becoming common in this government team, the VOX spokesman lamented.
To conclude, Zambrano wanted to ask Cavada and Moreno for breadth of views in the conception of the tourism strategy, and that the tourist destination concept be taken into account, to create synergies with other neighboring towns such as Cádiz, Puerto Real, El Puerto de Santa María and Cádiz, which are also part of the Bahía de Cádiz Natural Park that give way to the creation of strategies and offers that promote natural tourism
