Alovera studies the CO2 in its educational centers to improve contagion prevention

On Wednesday morning the works contracted for the control of CO2 by the Alovera City Council to a laboratory began. The objective is to control the levels of carbon dioxide inside the classrooms and spaces and to carry out a study on the quality of the air in municipal nursery schools, educational centers and institutes of the municipality.

From the council of Municipal Spaces led by VOX mayor Iván Sánchez, they want to have all the information to monitor the situation of the classrooms. Thus, it is intended to assess all the measures that encourage minors and young people to carry out their academic activity in the best conditions of prevention in the face of the pandemic.

The Councilor Iván Sánchez, has moved “The commitment to assess all the options, have all the information and be at the forefront of what must be implemented. Thus guaranteeing that they will be efficient, appropriate and technically supported means to avoid taking false steps and that they always have a scientific endorsement and guarantee ".

Study without interfering with activity

The studies are carried out with the presence of the minors or young people themselves in the usual conditions of the normal development of their activity, maintaining the habits and protocols of ventilation and mobility. In this way, it is possible to know the reality of the air in the classrooms and spaces analyzed.

From the first moment of the pandemic, the Alovera City Council works to assess all the possibilities that make it possible to stop contagions in the municipality and, at the same time, have safer spaces. Scientific studies affirm the correlation between spaces with high levels of CO2 derived from ventilation problems and the risks of airborne transmission, the known aerosols, as a means of contagion of the disease.

One of the spaces where the council has shown the most interest in preparing and generating the best conditions are those where the smallest attend classes or receive care, such as nursery schools.
