Beamonte: "The distribution of the fund of 16,000 million damages the recovery of Aragon and Lambán must act" He warns that the Government of Aragon has not put resources on the table, he continues to trust the Government of Spain and that is an error that citizens are paying

El presidente del PP de Aragón, Luis María Beamonte

The president of the Popular Party of Aragon, Luis María Beamonte, has denounced today that the distribution of the Reconstruction Fund of 16,000 million "is going to harm Aragon and is going to be a drag on the recovery of the Community", for which he has returned to demand that Javier Lambán "raise his voice and act to defend the interests of the Aragonese so that it is not the citizens who pay for that error."

In the press conference after the Autonomous Management Committee that has met electronically to analyze the current situation that Covid-19 has generated, Beamonte has been very critical of the distribution criteria of that fund according to parameters of population, warning that "Aragón is once again badly stopped" and that "Sánchez turns it into a new confrontation between Autonomous Communities, doing immense damage to the social and economic recovery of Aragón and Spain". For Beamonte, "this distribution must be done fairly, taking into account the real and effective cost of the services, so President Lambán must refuse and defend the needs of the Aragonese forcefully," he demanded.

In this line, the president of the popular Aragonese has criticized that "Sánchez is once again failing in his responsibilities and is unable to agree on a deal with the autonomies" when the framework of the negotiation should have been carried out in the Council of Fiscal and Financial Policy, while alerting that those 16,000 million is an "insufficient" amount

Beamonte has once again shown that the economic situation is "critical", with a drop in Aragonese GDP that, in the first quarter of the year, registered a negative variation of 4.3%, the drop in household consumption, the negative interannual variation rates that all the productive sectors of the Aragonese economy are suffering, as well as the collapse of the central government's income that could reach 40,000 million euros.

THE MEASURES MUST COME NOW

For this reason, it is time for the administrations to take sides and put resources on the table, a requirement that has also extended to the autonomous Executive because until now, as it has warned, “the phase change has not been accompanied by clear economic measures that allow citizens to move in a real way towards normality ”.

"The Government of Aragon is still immersed in what must be done, but the reality is that it does nothing. You continue to trust the Government of Spain when you have shown that it is not a legit government. Keep waiting and that is a mistake that we are paying the whole of the Aragonese ", said the PP-Aragón president, who has also stressed the need for a total restructuring of Aragón and the budget, to obtain liquidity and to unblock the files that are accumulated in INAGA. "To continue waiting is to ballast the Aragonese," he said.
