The initiative will take place from September 28 to October 13 throughout the Spanish coastal geography.

The national president of NNGG states that “the objective of the campaign Sea without garbage It is to raise awareness among the population and, especially the younger ones, that the beach is not a landfill and that no waste can be poured out of control to the sea since they cause a series of serious damages to the marine fauna and, negatively impact our coasts and in our health ”.

In this line, it highlights that “we add the phrase One more step to the motto since we include in addition to the cleaning of waste on the beaches, the recycling of the same, proceeding to its classification to be able to deposit the garbage in the corresponding container ”.

He also notes that “our commitment to care for and conserve the environment is firm. According to the latest Eurobarometer, 67% of young Europeans and Spaniards demand that the European Union prioritize the fight against climate change, this data reveals that the care and conservation of the environment does not understand ideologies or political parties and is a matter of everybody".

Finally, Diego Gago denounces that “Spain has to take a leading role in decision-making to provide solutions to a problem that directly affects us, such as climate change” and adds that “the marches that were carried out yesterday throughout the country they show the population's concern for the current situation and for the world that we want to leave to the next generations ”.
