Spain has carried out more than 3.2 million PCRs since the start of the epidemic

Health extends the collection of epidemiological data from the Autonomous Communities to face the transition to a new normal


In the last week, from June 12 to June 18, the autonomous communities have increased their capacity to carry out this type of diagnostic tests by 7%. In addition, the PCR rate carried out up to that date has increased to 69.9 per 1,000 inhabitants.

Along with the PCR diagnostic tests performed, the Autonomous Communities have also reported the completion of 1,872,521 rapid antibody tests, representing a rate of 39.8 per 1,000 inhabitants and an increase of 6% compared to the previous week.

In total, since the beginning of the epidemic, 5,162,909 diagnostic tests for COVID-19 have been carried out so far.
