The Civil Guard intervenes about 19,000 masks that were offered by WhatsApp with falsified quality certificates

The Civil Guard has intervened in Collbató (Barcelona) 18,400 masks with falsified quality certificates and 1,526 liters of disinfecting gel without sanitary registration and labeling irregularities, and has investigated three people, as alleged perpetrators of crimes against health public and documentary falsehood.

The agents of the Nature Protection Service (SEPRONA) of the Civil Guard of Barcelona, investigated a person who was offering for sale, through the WhatsApp application, an important batch of masks and disinfectant gel, of dubious origin.

The investigators located a ship in Collbató (Barcelona) where the material object of the agents' suspicions was stored, producing an inspection in which it was determined that the masks had allegedly falsified health certificates and that the disinfectant gel cans had irregularities on their labels in addition to lacking the required health record.

SEPRONA troops intervened 4,000 FFP2 masks, 14,400 surgical masks and 1,526 liters of hand sanitizing gel, investigating three people residing in Barcelona and Tarragona, for the alleged commission of crimes against public health and documentary falsehood.

The Civil Guard investigation revealed that these products had been offered through the WhatsApp messaging channel to numerous contacts that the investigated had obtained as a portfolio of clients in the exercise of their professional activity as distributors of household appliances.
