The Equality Ministry condemns yesterday's sexist killings in Úbeda, Jaén province. This is a 46-year-old woman and her two children, 12 and 17 years old, who were allegedly killed by her husband and the father of the minors, who later committed suicide by throwing himself out of the window. In turn, with this murder, the number of minors murdered by gender-based violence rises to 3 so far this year, the first two during the period of alarm, increasing the number of minors killed by gender-based violence to 37 since 2013, when data collection began.

The Minister of Equality, Irene Montero and the delegate of the Government against Gender Violence, Victoria Rosell, want to express once again their absolute condemnation and rejection of these sexist killings and transfer all their support to the families and friends of the victims.
