The liberal MEP holds a meeting with Fernando López Miras, to which he transfers his commitment to bring to Europe the commitments and solutions of the Region regarding the salty lagoon
The Europarliamentarian José Ramón Bauzá, reaffirmed today that “Citizens are leading the response to the environmental crisis in the Mar Menor in Europe”. Bauzá, who held a meeting this morning with the regional president, Fernando López Miras, and spokeswoman Ana Martínez Vidal, stressed that “we are responding in two main ways, on the one hand transfer the necessary information to understand the current situation of the Mar Menor, and on the other – above all – identify solutions ”.
In this sense, the liberal Europarliamentarian has transferred the possibility not only of using European funds for the recovery of the salt lagoon, which has already requested nothing more than the crisis, but also scientific and technical support to define the necessary actions. Bauzá plans to move to the Mar Menor this afternoon to learn first hand about his problem and then he will hold a meeting with representatives of the scientific committee on the salt lagoon, which he has described as “heritage not only of Murcia, but also of the Spaniards and the Europeans. ”
After the meeting, the Europarliamentarian has stressed that “in this case it is essential not to talk about politics or votes, but about commitments and responsibilities to find real solutions. We don't talk about the next elections, but about the next generations. ” Bauzá has reaffirmed its commitment to “lead the demands and solutions that the Region of Murcia has in this critical issue in Europe”.
