The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has sent today, for the second consecutive day, 15 air resources and 2 brigades of specialists in extinction to support the Autonomous Communities of Andalusia and Castilla y León in the fight against the flames in the declared forest fires in Terque in Almería and Casillas in Ávila.

At the Terque fire, 3 Canadair amphibious aircraft of 5,500 liters were unloaded from the bases of Málaga and Talavera la Real in Badajoz; 3 Kamov helicopters of 4,500 liters of discharge from Caravaca in Murcia, La Almoraima in Cádiz and Huelma in Jaén. A communications and observation aircraft of the Mutxamel base in Alicante has also been moved, which sends aerial images in real time about the evolution of the fire.
To extinguish the flames in the Casillas fire, three 5,500-liter Canadair amphibious aircraft were sent from the Torrejón bases in Madrid and from Matacán in Salamanca, as well as a 4,500-gallon Kamov helicopter unloading from the Plasencia de Cáceres base. a communications and observation aircraft from León airport.

To work from the ground, two brigades of reinforcement against forest fires have also been moved from the bases of La Iglesuela in Toledo and Puerto el Pico in Cáceres, which operate with 3 transport and unloading helicopters of 1,100 liters.
