One month of telematic attention to researchers
Since May 4, the archives had already attended queries electronically and received requests for consultation in the room, which will be dealt with in order of reception as of this Wednesday, in preference to requests for information and copies of documents that must contribute in administrative and judicial proceedings.
The consultation rooms will open with a capacity of 30% in the provinces in phase 2, and 60% in those located in phase 3. The incorporation of technical and customer service personnel will be carried out progressively and in stages, in shifts, to guarantee the service and comply with the protection and distancing protocols recommended by the Ministry of Health.
The visits, the opening of the exhibition rooms, as well as the holding of conferences, cultural events, congresses or any other similar activity will be resumed according to the Health instructions at the end of the de-escalation phase.
Consultation limit and protection measures
Requests for documents will be limited to ten daily signatures and the documents and materials consulted will be quarantined for a minimum period of ten days before they can be used again.
In order to maximize prevention and hygiene measures, the computers and computer media of the files destined for public use may not be used by users and researchers, who must use their personal computers with network connectivity. Special consultation rooms (parchments, glass plates, posters and maps or large-format plans) will remain closed until after June 25, as will the availability of microform readers and similar equipment.
