Proposes individual sports practice safely, with predetermined times and places

– The Popular Group in Congress has presented a Proposition no of Law, registered on Wednesday the 22nd, in which it urges the Government to elaborate a protocol that allows the practice of physical and sports activity during the state of alarm.

For this, it would be necessary to promote the individual practice of sport without contact with other athletes, adapting the agreed time to do it and defining the places where it can be done. In any case, the activity should be done safely, according to experts in the pandemic and without putting the rest of the Spanish population at risk.

The initiative, signed by the spokeswoman Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo, the GPP deputy spokesmen Carlos Rojas and Marta González, the GPP sports spokesman, Javier Merino, and the deputy Víctor Píriz, recalls that the opening to limited sports practice during the A state of alarm would improve the quality of life for many Spaniards.

The training led by Pablo Casado points out in said Proposition that during the state of alarm, Spaniards have not been allowed to go out to do sports, while in other countries around us they have regulated this practice, with limitations to guarantee the security that the PP considers that they could also be established in Spain without breaking the confinement.

As examples that the Protocol would allow, the GPP proposes activities that can be practiced individually such as, among others, walking, running, cycling, skating and even swimming in open water.
