Fermín Cacho, as an athlete and Olympic medalist in the 1992 Barcelona and Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games, as well as six more medals in World and European championships.

Javier Fernández as an artistic skater, Olympic medalist at the Pieonchang Olympic Winter Games. Twice World Champion and seven times European Champion.

These athletes have been the first Spaniards to obtain this public recognition, which is regulated in Instruction 52/2019 of September 19, which creates the honorary distinction of 'Honor Reservist of the Ministry of Defense'.

I Military Sports Gala

In order to make public the distinction with which these athletes have been recognized, on November 27 it is planned that the Ministry of Defense will organize at the Army War School in Madrid, the First Military Sports Gala.

With this gala, which will be conducted by the TV host. Roberto Brasero and the lieutenant of the ship Loreto Pastor, in addition to publicly recognizing the work of the nominated athletes, intends to take root in the development of regulations for the promotion of sport within the Ministry of Defense.
