The municipal group VOX proposes to reduce the tax burden on citizens in the next year of 2021. For this, it has presented two normative proposals on two ordinances and 14 individual votes.

All VOX proposals are aimed at reducing the tax burden on citizens. Logically, this supposes a reduction of the superfluous expense of the City council. Especially in those services that are provided in an overlapping way with other Public Administrations. That is, duplicating administrative structures.

VOX proposals

VOX proposes the extension of the capital gains tax bonus to all properties transferred “mortis causa” to first-degree relatives. And not only for the first two properties (the habitual residence and one more) as before. VOX considers that this tax incurs in a clear case of double taxation. Since, on the other hand, there is an autonomous inheritance and donation tax.

Likewise, VOX proposes to incorporate, as IBI and road tax rebates, aid for the payment of taxes to family units with little income. Until now they were processed as subsidies with a certainly high administrative cost and not very efficient.

And they have also proposed reductions in the IBI, the Circulation Tax and the Tax on Constructions, Installations and Works. Extending the bonuses to large families and trying to favor both the sale of vehicles and the construction sector.

Finally, VOX meets the demands of two sectors particularly affected by the crisis. On the one hand, the taxi sector, for which significant reductions in license transfer fees are proposed. And on the other, the hotel sector. Here we propose a pricing of water consumption adjusted to its residential character. Taking the coefficients based on the number of people housed, and not as large consumers, who are penalized for excess consumption.
