Sanlúcar de Barrameda, November 12, 2020 – The local group of VOX Sanlúcar demands the government team, led by Víctor Mora, to increase security forces to avoid mass parties like the one that took place last Saturday in our town, given the risk of contagion from Covid-19.

The local coordinator, María del Carmen Infantes, has regretted that, in the middle of the pandemic and with the harsh restrictions imposed to try to stop the contagion among the population, a local in Sanlúcar has held a crowded party, where more than 80 people counted, not complying with security measures being aware of the risk that this entails for the current situation.

Infantes recalled that "the hospitality industry in our city, like other sectors, is not going through a good time, so it is total injustice that parties of this type are held, which involve a serious source of contagion, while hoteliers and merchants see how they have to draw their blinds at 6:00 p.m. every day, with the consequent Loss of sales that this entails, even knowing that their shops are equipped with all the appropriate security measures ”.

From VOX Sanlúcar we urge the mayor to expand police force so that these "clandestine parties" do not take place again in our town in these difficult times of the pandemic.
