On September 4, VOX questioned the Government about the situation of workers attached to the Immigration Agreement who perform functions in the area of social services. An essential staff that, after years of job instability, was waiting to be recognized as workers of the local administration as the Social Court had ruled.
However, the Government had appealed against the judicial decision and for this reason VOX requested explanations in the control session. Now and after the criticism received by VOX, as well as pressure from the unions, the local Executive has withdrawn and withdrawn the appeal filed against the sentence that declared workers of the Immigration Agreement indefinite not fixed. A decision that VOX recognizes as positive.
A little over a month ago, the Minister of Economy, Finance, Public Administration and Employment, Kissy Chandiramani explained that if the Autonomous City had appealed the sentence it was on the recommendation of its legal services. However, the Government has already informed the unions that it is going to withdraw the appeal and VOX applauds the decision. The party has already warned that Ceuta has "an urgent need" to have this group of workers, in such a way that if they had been fired at some point, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the UTS and the social services".
VOX questioned the recourse to the judicial resolution because, in addition, if these personnel were fired in December, the activity in Social Affairs would be paralyzed. Now and just a month after what the party was warning about happened, the Government has reversed and stabilized the employment of key personnel for its social services.
