The time has come to leave a stage behind. It is a different time. A different world. A lot has happened since we started publishing The Walking Dead in the distant 2005. At that time it was a real publishing revolution and Planeta Cómic became the standard-bearer of the best independent American comics.
After hundreds of thousands of copies sold in Spain over these 15 years, the series has already reached its point of maturity and we say goodbye to it with a good taste in the mouth for the good work carried out, both by the original authors, the Skybound publisher, translators, editors, commercial teams and especially the booksellers and readers who have taken such great care of the collection. Thus, as of March 31, 2021, we will stop marketing the 32 paperback volumes, the 8 cardboard volumes and some specials from this series.
But as Rick Grimes said in the last volume, we're on the way back, i can see our future ahead, and it's bright. Proof of this is that we continue to achieve success in the USA with Saga, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Usagi Yojimbo, Spawn, Paper Girls or the catalog Aftershock. And proof of this is that in March we will inaugurate a close collaboration with Image Y Boom! Studios to continue publishing the best independent American comics in Spain and all Latin American countries. It will be accompanied by powerful world launches in Spanish of their most anticipated and acclaimed titles, Attentive, because on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. we will publish a preview of these upcoming news …
