Insurers' income from the sale of policies at the end of June amounted to 33,687 million euros, 0.97% less than a year ago. Of this amount, 18,984 million euros corresponded to the non-life branch and the remaining 14,703 million to life, as shown by the provisional data collected by Cooperative Investigation of Insurance Entities (ICEA)

The turnover of the non-life line increased by 2.52% in year-on-year terms. The improvement of this activity is based on the pull of all lines of business, with special mention of health policies and multi-risk policies. The health insurance line rebounded 4.10% to 4.459 million. Meanwhile, the insurance that protects real estate (whether homes, businesses, industries or neighborhood communities) grew by 2.48%, to 3,877 million.

The so-called "diverse insurance" and the automobile branch also had a remarkable performance. The first insurance group increased its half-year turnover by 2.22% to 4,787 million. Under the term "various insurance" are the protections most linked to economic activity. The automobile business increased its revenues by another 1.62%, to 5,861 million, and it continues to be the activity that reports the highest income in the non-life block.

The savings managed in life insurance products, measured through technical provisions, It reached 193.852 million euros at the end of June. This amount represents an interannual increase of 3.94%, according to the ICEA estimates.
