The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, chaired today in Madrid the act of handing the turística Q ’flags of tourist quality to Spanish beaches and marinas. This year, a total of 248 beaches and 24 marinas were awarded by the ICTE.
For the Minister of Industry, "the 'Q' brings prestige, differentiation, reliability, rigor and promotion. On the way to the new normality, strengthening confidence in the quality and safety of Spain is one of the great challenges. We need security both at origin and destination, so we must ensure that tourists do not run any risk or bring it to our country. "
Maroto reiterated the Government's commitment to accompany the sector in this stage of economic reconstruction and reviewed various support measures such as the Tourism Sector Promotion Plan, mortgage moratoriums on tourist properties, the Tourist Sustainability Plans at Destination, and the extraordinary line by 2020 of loans for projects that promote digital transformation and tourism innovation. For the minister, the objective is "the progressive return to normality that allows part of the summer campaign for tourism to be recovered."
Finally, Reyes Maroto recalled that Spain has attractions that join our extraordinary strengths, such as the climate, safety, health, and quality of our services and infrastructures to provide tourism leadership.
