The Civil Guard intercepts a shipment of 525 kilos of hashish inside a vehicle
Five people have been arrested, including the head of the organization and the owner of the commercial vehicle company
The action took place on the A-5 when they tried to transfer the drug from the province of Huelva to Colmenar Viejo (Madrid)
They used VTC (Vehicle Transport with Driver) vehicles to transport drugs
The Civil Guard has dismantled a criminal organization in Madrid dedicated to the trafficking of hashish, resulting in the arrest of five people. Likewise, a shipment of 525 kilos of hashish has been intercepted inside a vehicle when they tried to transport it from the province of Huelva to Colmenar Viejo.
The investigation after compiling the information obtained after the dismantling of “retail” points of sale in Tres Cantos. This information concluded that important sales were taking place from a garage located in Colmenar Viejo.
As a result of the surveillance carried out by the agents who carried out the investigation, it was possible to identify several people who went to a building in the Colmenareña population, where they accessed through the garage and after staying a few minutes inside they left. All of these people, after being identified, were found to be carrying narcotic substances.
Once the suspicions were verified, the Civil Guard focused all its efforts on identifying the possible distributor, who turned out to be a Moroccan citizen with multiple antecedents related to crimes against public health, who turned out to be the leader of the group.
During the investigation, the agents have been able to verify that one of the members of the network was an administrator of several VTC companies, whose vehicles were used to distribute narcotic substances to their clients.
After detecting a meeting where, in addition to the leader, all the members of the network were present and, given the unusual movements they made, it was decided to establish a surveillance and monitoring device. This operational activity allowed the interception on the A-5 of a caravan of three vehicles, locating 525 kilos of hashish in one of them, distributed in 15 bundles and destined for Colmenar Viejo.
The detainees are two Moroccan nationals, the 27-year-old leader and his 40-year-old deputy. Two Romanian citizens of 32 and 41 years old who were in charge of distributing the substances, and who were the usual drivers. And a 47-year-old Spanish citizen, whose role in the organization was to manage three VTC companies.
The investigation was carried out by agents belonging to the Investigation Area of the Tres Cantos Civil Guard Post, who have had the collaboration of agents from the Citizen Security Unit of the Madrid Command.
