The Civil Guard has seized, in different places, more than 11,200 kilos of hashish in the last five days. The apprehensions have been carried out on the coasts of Huelva, Cádiz and Málaga. In addition, 14 people have been arrested and 10 vessels and seven vehicles have been seized.
The first of the seizures occurred near the beaches of Coto de Doñana (Huelva), where the Maritime Service intercepted a semi-rigid vessel with three engines loaded with 120 hashish bundles. His only crewman was arrested and 3,800 kilos of hashish were seized.
In Conil (Cádiz) there was an attempted stash that was aborted by the Civil Guard, after detecting the SIVE (Integrated Strait Surveillance System) a suspicious vessel heading to the coast. The boat unloaded 70 bundles of hashish, but when its crew noticed the presence of the Civil Guard they fled offshore. Due to police pressure, the crew left the boat at a nearby beach. The approximate weight of the hashish bales intervened, exceeded 2,300 kilos.
On the other hand, civil guards of the Line (Cádiz) observed, from the coast, how two vessels were covered and their crews passed packages from one to another, which could be bundles of hashish. The agents of the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard intercepted one of the vessels with 21 bales of hashish (700 kilos) on the deck, and the two people were arrested on board.
In another intervention in Tarifa (Cádiz), a Fiscal Patrol spotted a lump 10 meters from the shore that turned out to be a hashish bundle. A few meters were found four more bundles. Given the possibility that there were more bales on the shore, a device was organized and another 15 bales were hidden in the brush. In total, 20 bundles, which reached 650 kilos of hashish.
In Malaga, on the Rincon de la Victoria Beach, a dump boat appeared drifting. The boat was recovered along with the engines it carried, about 300 horses each.
In another service, when a patrol of the Casares Post (Malaga) stopped a suspicious vehicle for identification, he found five hashish tablets inside. The two occupants of the vehicle were arrested for a drug trafficking offense. When finding keys and a command of a garage near the place of identification, and in the face of suspicions that could be of a nursery, investigations continued, identifying two people who were going to the garage. Shortly after, inside the house, 27 bundles with more than 850 kilos of hashish were located. The four people identified, all of Italian nationality, were arrested and the two high-end vehicles in which they were traveling were seized.
In Algeciras (Cádiz) 333 kilos of hidden hashish were intervened in the van of a van, when trying to enter the Peninsula through the Port, and the driver was stopped. Also in Algeciras 1,500 kilos of hashish were seized in Monte Calafate, after the Civil Guard will observe a stash on the coast. After chasing the vehicles that fled with it, the 49 bundles they threw were located, scattered across the mountain. Two people who participated in the stash were arrested and three vehicles and the boat intervened.
In Malaga a semi-rigid boat was detected that was receiving logistical support from two recreational boats. Finally the semi-rigid tried to lighten up and 19 bundles of hashish (570 kg) were seized and the three vessels involved intervened. Four people were arrested for these events.
In the area of Estepona (Málaga) a boat was detected that was going to the coast. Upon noticing the presence of the patrol of the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard, the crew left the boat with 10 bundles of hashish (300 kilos).
