The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food sends two large-capacity amphibious aircraft to fight the Vila de Rei fire in Portugal


The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Act, Luis Planas, this afternoon authorized the shipment of two amphibious planes Canadair, 5,500 liters of discharge capacity, to assist in the extinction of the fire declared on July 20 in the town of Vila de Rei, in the municipality of Maçao.

In this way, the Ministry responds to the request for help made by the Government of Portugal, in virtue of the agreements signed between both countries to collaborate in the fight against forest fires.
