The Senator of VOX for Ceuta, Yolanda Merelo, has asked the Executive when she will provide the requested material to the Municipal Funeral Service Company of Madrid. Merelo asks this question after the City Council of the Capital assured that as of March 24 the Municipal Funeral Home stopped collecting the victims of COVID-19 for lack of necessary material and protective equipment for workers.

The senator has echoed this action of the Madrid Consistory, where, apparently, the Ministry of Health has requested such material and even this request has been forwarded to the government delegate in Madrid without obtaining any results.

This situation that the capital of Spain is experiencing has led VOX to ask the Executive if it has any protocol in place so that this does not happen in the rest of Spain.

The senator explains, in her explanatory statement, that 150 people die daily in Madrid as a result of this pandemic. And remember that they die alone due to the risk of contagion, while families cannot inhume or cremate their loved ones either.

That is why the senator has also asked the Government if she has planned any protocol for psychological help for the relatives of the deceased by COVID-19 who have to face this terrible situation.
