Rota, November 12, 2020. – The Municipal Group of VOX Rota, through your councilor Esther Ceballos-Zúñiga, will take to the next Municipal Plenary a request in which it proposes a saving electricity consumption of Christmas lighting, so that the shutdown is at the time of the curfew to be able to allocate that money to social benefits. At VOX we are aware that lighting meets the need to contribute to the commercial and tourist revitalization of the city, since it is an attraction during the most important season for sales, and that the merchants and hoteliers in Rota are suffering greatly from the consequences of this crisis. For this reason, as an intermediate measure reasonable between austerity and economic activity of our municipality, from VOX we consider it appropriate to save part of the electricity consumption to allocate that money to the commercial sector and families in need. From VOX Rota we understand that the government team must be sensitive before this harsh reality and help merchants in these difficult times. |
