CEIB-CEOE and SEGIB organize on July 2 and 3 in Buenos Aires a business summit focused on Ibero-American MSMEs and young entrepreneurs, as a follow-up to the activities they carry out within the framework of the Summits of Heads of State and Government . The program includes the III Ibero-American Forum of the MIPYME, under the theme "Ibero-American Pymes facing the challenge of innovation and sustainability", and which is attended by representatives of the governments of the region, business organizations of CEIB and entrepreneurs. The Spanish delegation heads the CEOE CEO and CEPYME president, Gerardo Cuerva.

The Minister of Production of the Nation Dante Sica stands out among the participants; the Ibero-American General Secretary, Rebeca Grynspan; the Secretary of Entrepreneurs and Pymes, Mariano Meyer, the Vice Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of Paraguay, Isaac Godoy; the deputy minister of Development of the Mipyme of Guatemala, Gloria del Carmen Zarazúa; his Dominican Republic counterpart, Ignacio Méndez; or that of Costa Rica, Sandra Pacheco, among others. The vice president of CEOE and president of CEPYME, Gerardo Cuerva, will participate in the various activities; the newly appointed president of CEIB and president of the Andorran Business Confederation (CEA), Gerard Cadena; and representatives of the business organizations of Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, Central America and Venezuela, among others. Also, the CEO of International CEOE and permanent secretary of CEIB, Narciso Casado; the vice president of CEAJE, Antonio Magraner; and the president of FIJE, Juan Manuel Barrero.

Private Sector Meeting Mipymes

Tomorrow, Day 2, the Vice President of CEOE and President of CEPYME, Gerardo Cuerva and the Vice President of the Industrial Union of Argentina (UIA), Daniel Funes de Rioja, will inaugurate in the Ministry of Production of Buenos Aires the Meeting of the Private Sector Mipymes, in which will address the challenges of productive transformation and the inclusion of MSMEs in the fourth industrial revolution. They will also address the promotion of intraregional trade and the participation of SMEs in global value chains; the Ibero-American space as an open innovation platform and the promotion of alliances to compete: startups, entrepreneurs and SMEs together with the large company; the analysis of public support policies and the new normative marcso; and the economic empowerment of women and their participation in the business organization.

From the meeting, final conclusions will be reached; A commitment will be made in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship; and the next steps will be established. The final considerations will be the responsibility of the Ibero-American General Secretary, Rebeca Grynspan. All these issues will be discussed later in depth in the III Ibero-American Forum of the Mipyme, which is held on Wednesday 3 in the Argentine capital. The theme and points to debate arise from the Summit of Guatemala, held in November 2018.

After the meeting a lunch will be held, offered by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Argentina, in which the vice president of CEOE and president of CEPYME, Gerardo Cuerva, will intervene.

Young Entrepreneurs Forum

Tomorrow, an event organized by the Spanish Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs Associations (CEAJE) and the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs (FIJE), under the theme "Business in Ibero-America" ​​will also be held tomorrow in the framework of the III Forum of the Mipyme. The President of Fix, Juan Manuel Barrero, will open the day; the Ibero-American General Secretary, Rebeca Grynspan; the general secretary of the Ibero-American Youth Organization, Max Trejo; and the vice president of CEOE, Gerardo Cuerva. More than 150 young entrepreneurs from all over the Region will participate in the event.

During the ceremony, the CEOs of SMEs and startups and the presidents and vice-presidents of the Young Entrepreneurs Associations of Ibero-American countries, will talk about the innovative young entrepreneurs of Latin America and the organizations of young entrepreneurs in the Region. To address this last issue, intervene, among others, the vice president of the CEAJE, Antonio Magraner. The Forum will be closed by the CEO of International CEOE and permanent secretary of CEIB, Narciso Casado.

III Ibero-American Forum of the Mipyme

On Wednesday, March 3, the III Ibero-American Forum of the MIPYME will begin in Buenos Aires, in which representatives of the governments of the countries of the Region, CEIB's business organizations and businessmen participate. This conference, like the previous one, serves as a follow-up to the activities that take place within the framework of the Ibero-American Summits of Heads of State and Government.

The Ibero-American Forum on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is a space for reflection, exchange of good practices and discussion on the reality of the Ibero-American SME, its support policies, the new organizational models and the promotion of strategic alliances between countries. It is a joint initiative of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), the Government of Argentina and the Ibero-American Business Council (CEIB).

The third edition, which takes place in Buenos Aires, seeks to open a space for reflection on the challenges of productive transformation and the inclusion of MSMEs in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the promotion of intraregional trade and the participation of SMEs in global value chains.

Likewise, it will be discussed around the opportunities offered by the Ibero-American space as a platform for open innovation and the promotion of partnerships to compete: startups, entrepreneurs and SMEs together with the large company, as well as an analysis of public support policies and new regulatory frameworks, paying special attention to cases of good practices. From an approach with a gender perspective, emphasis will be placed on the economic empowerment of women and their participation in the business organization.
