The number of unemployed registered in the Public Employment Offices It fell by 63,805 people during the month of June, with the number of unemployed standing at 3,015,686, its minimum since December 2008.
On the other hand, the number of Affiliates Social Security increased by 75,548 contributors, and 2,009,011 contracts were formalized, almost 2.3% less than in June 2018, of which 174,159 were indefinite contracts, 8.67% of the total, with a decrease of 9.7% compared to the same month last year.
"If we analyze the data, it verifies how the labor market loses pace. The increase of 75,584 contributors last month is the lowest of the last four years. Unemployment recorded the lowest monthly fall in a month of June since 2009. The self-employed grow, but it is the lowest growth since 2012 and half of what they did in 2018 and the indefinite hiring continues to present bad data with respect to 2018, "says Lorenzo Amor, president of the National Federation of Associations of Autonomous Workers, ATA.
"For this reason it is necessary that a stable government be formed as soon as possible to face in a firm way measures to promote entrepreneurship, that bet on the productive fabric and that returns confidence to our economy," says Lorenzo Amor.
Autonomous: they increase half that in 2018
Regarding the group of self-employed workers, ATA points out that during the month of June, 8,745 self-employed workers were won, 291 new self-employed workers every day. This is a growth much lower than the 12,160 registered in June 2018 and the lowest growth figure in a month of June since 2012.
As for the first semester of the year, we are again facing the growth of self-employed workers in a lower half-year since 2013, and half of that registered in 2018. In the first six months of 2019, the RETA totals 31,937 new contributors, compared to 68,880 of the first semester of 2018.
"We are in a very delicate moment, where there is a slowdown in the growth of new self-employed people. June 2019 is the worst self-employment month since 2012. The self-employed grow by 8,745, but well below the records of the last 6 years. The first semester recorded the worst growth, both in absolute and relative terms, of self-employed workers since 2013, "says Lorenzo Amor.
